Subway Donates 150 Sandwiches to Salvation Army

The Salvation Army received a helping hand from a Subway restaurant in Charlottesville yesterday. Subway delivered 150 subs to help feed those in need. It is a part of their "Day of Giving" campaign.

Those who work at the Salvation Army say it's a big help to receive that type of donation. "It helps us to feed those people that are helping us," said Melinda Johnson with the Salvation Army.

"And also feed our residents here that usually don't get to eat Subway because they can't afford it." Salvation Army workers say they are always looking for volunteers, especially during the holidays.
