The Salvation Army - What Do We Do?



The Salvation Army serves in over 120 countries, with 17,000 officers working out of 15000 church and community centre buildings.

The Salvation Army is about community. 200,000 young people attend junior youth groups, 100,000 people attend over-60 clubs.

The Salvation Army help people from all walks of life. We visit 400,000 prisoners a year. We support 22,000 people suffering with addicton. We provide 25,000 beds for homeless people each night.

The Salvation Army helps those most in need. 100,000 people are helped through disaster response programmes and 400,000 are helped through nigth patrols.

The Salvation Army provides practical support. We teach 400,000 pupils. We care for over a million patients and inform 700,000 people through health education programmes.

The Salvation Army's mission is to save souls, grow saints and serve suffering humanity.
