Salvation Army Hopes Kettle Campaign Will Bring in $90,000 For Washington County Families



For many Washington County families, Christmas would be an ordinary day without the help of The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, according to agency officials.

The annual charity drive kicked off locally on Friday at Valley Mall, where bell ringers flanked a kettle in front of Macy’s department store.

Salvation Army Major Dan Heard said the organization is relying on the public’s generosity to collect $90,000 this holiday season.
