Couple Asks Wedding Guests for a Surprising Gift

Every year we’re blown away by how radically generous people are with their neighbors in need at Christmas.

Just yesterday we heard about a Chicago couple who had their dream Christmas-themed wedding. But not only do they get to spend the rest of their lives together, they celebrated their union by asking their guests show their love to others.

Dana Guardyak and Mark Katz didn’t register for housewares and linens, they asked for Christmas toys to donate to The Salvation Army in Metropolitan Chicago.

Salvation Army representatives were on hand at the wedding to receive the toys and thank the guests.

The toys will be used in the annual Salvation Army Toyland toy shop which allows moms and dads who can’t afford to buy gifts for their kids to “shop” for them at no cost instead.

We love this story and are so grateful for the thoughtful, creative ways our friends find to care for others.

God bless Mr. and Mrs. Mark Katz. We hope you have a long and wonderful life together caring for each other and your community!
