An anonymous donor dropped in some major green into a a red Salvation Army bucket and it wasn’t in the form of cash.
The Salvation Army got a call from a woman asking to check the contents of a Red Kettle located at 97th Avenue and 41th Street.
Once they went through the contents of the bucket, they found an emerald necklace with a note that read “Keep Doing Good God bless The Salvation Army — A friend.”
Salvation Army officials said they think this to be another gift of the local “Secret Santa” that strikes every year.
Back in 2013, a similar phone call came in and they found a diamond ring valued at $3,500 inside one of the buckets. Along with the ring came a note which reads, “Continue your good caring for the needy in God’s name.”
